One Red Paper Clip

I couldn't believe he really made it, one red paperclip for a house, all on the good old barter trading system, and of course also a never-think-nothing-is-impossible belief system!

My name is Kyle MacDonald and I traded one red paperclip for a house. I started with one red paperclip on July 12 2005 and 14 trades later, on July 12, 2006 I traded with the Town of Kipling Saskatchewan for a house located at 503 Main Street.

Of Gossips, Glamour, Sex and Scandal

Was inspired suddenly to start a commercial website, but I was thinking what theme would i base it on to consistently generate a good amount and steady traffic to my site?

I once learned in marketing class, elements that will attract attention and sell like hot cakes for sure are based on 2 G's and 2 S's, they are none other than the elements of Gossips, Glamour, Sex and Scandal.

Not agreeing with me? ;) If not, why do you think these elements appear in newspaper headlines so every now and then? It's because people like to read them!!

But then again, i see myself no talent in writing based on these elements.
Perhaps something relating to hobbies and interests of commercial value, but yet, i'm no master or experts in one particular hobby, hmm...still thinking. Any ideas you might have?

A Good Deed A Day, is Just A Click Away

An apple a day, keeps the doctors away!
How about A good deed a day, is just a click away?!

Believe it or not, yes, that's right, it's that simple.

I learnt about this brilliant and noble site in class today. On average, over 220000 individuals from around the world visit the site each day to click the yellow Help Feed The Hungry button.

All you need is just 2 simple steps in less than 5 seconds:
2. Click on the Yellow "Help Feed the Hunger" button

There you go, your click is counted, and sponsors will donate 1.1 cup food to the hungry.
And over 657 million cups of food have been given out thus far.
There's no charge to you, you click, sponsors donate.

Before you launch your bit comet, before you read the gossip news online, what better way to start a day doing a good deed helping the needy, at just a click away?

Spread and promote the website around, after all, good things should be made known to everyone isnt' it? :)

The Born of this Blog

I have never had a dedicated blog site of my own. I have had many online journals which i maintained through friendster, multiply, and facebook applications. It never occured to me I should probably start one of my own, until today....

So why the spur of the moment of this blog?? You might probably be amused why. It's part of our E-commerce subject hands-on assignment. We get 5 marks for creating our own blog site!! And so here it is, Ta da~, an obedient student and kiasu student she is, all for the HumongoUs 5 marks she wants to secure ..hehe :D

But i might probably just maintain this site from now on where I pen my thoughts, so please do come back from time to time.
